VINCE NEIL To Perform At DONALD TRUMP's Presidential Inauguration
November 18, 2016According to Billboard, MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil will perform at Donald Trump's presidential inauguration in January. The singer, who will appear with his solo band, said he was asked to play at the Washington D.C. event "months ago."
"The promoters asked if I was available, and I said yes," Neil revealed. "So we sent all of the band’s passports to the Secret Service so everybody can get in, and all of the crew people, not knowing who was winning. But we were already scheduled to play."
The singer added that he wasn't sure what he will be playing at the ceremony. "I don't know how long I have to play," he said. "I don't know if the Republican Party says which [songs] to play and what not to do. It's a little ways out. I'll have more information as time goes on."
Neil will appear on the next season of "The Celebrity Apprentice", NBC's long-running business reality show previously hosted by Trump. The president-elect has since been replaced by Arnold Schwarzenegger, the former California governor and a world-famous movie star, known for films like the "Terminator" series.
Neil last month struck a deal to avoid jail time in connection with a misdemeanor battery charge related to an incident where he allegedly assaulted an autograph seeker.
MÖTLEY CRÜE will release a box set, "Mötley Crüe: The End", on November 25 via Eleven Seven Music. The box set will chronicle the band's 35-year career with the inclusion of six LPs and CDs, packaged within a hardcover photo book, of "Too Fast For Love" (1981),"Shout At The Devil" (1983),"Theatre Of Pain" (1985),"Girls, Girls, Girls" (1987),"Dr. Feelgood" (1989),"Saints Of Los Angeles" (2008),and conclude with a live audio CD and DVD of the band's final performance to a sold-out Los Angeles Staples Center arena on December 31, 2015.
